Refinished Antique Chest

Patience is not my strong suit. I dread projects that requiring stripping or sanding an old finish down. Let’s just say this one involved a lot of bad words!

Refinished Antique Chest

I picked up this beauty from Facebook Marketplace for only $100 – solid wood, teardrop pulls, and so much potential!

After 3 rounds of Citristrip, sanding, wire brushing, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning – she was ready.

For the finish, I used Maison Blanche French Lime Paint in “White Pepper”. The coverage in this product is A M A Z I N G. But, I was looking for more of a lime washed finish, so I heavily diluted the paint, painted it on using a brush, and wiped down with a wet cloth.

Isn’t she lovely? We’re toying with the idea of adding a marble top and vessel sink for the powder room in our next house. Thoughts? 🙂
